Documentary Style Images: Capture the action somewhere where you have no control over the situation. Remember patience and try to get that surprising element in the shot.

Set up a Scene: Use friends, family, partners or yourself to create a scene reminiscent of a film still. Try to capture the moment, the emotion or the story behind a shot.

Recreate a Film Stills: Recreate a film still that inspires you. Try not to choose an overly famous one. Find ways to make the scene uniquely yours.

Mini Portfolio Prep: Start looking at your images you already have. Pass them through the 4 fundamentals. Think about a variety of images – wide shots, mid shots, details, portraits. Aim for 10-20 images. Only 10 images will be submitted for the Portfolio review.
